If you believe in the subversive power of Love to transform yourself, your community and your world, we are your people.
We’re fierce, a little cheeky, often serious and deeply committed to a life of faith.
We love doing theology. We’re just audacious enough to believe Jesus belongs in our conversations in our kitchens, around tables, in the office AND in pulpits—wherever God’s unique calling may take us. We long to live closely to God’s heart for justice, peace, freedom and community. We often find ourselves on the edges of conversations, but we’ve discovered there’s a lot of LIFE here.
I began coming home to myself, my faith and my purpose on the day I found my place in a circle of women. That was many years ago and the circle was called The Women’s Power Breakfast. We met every Wednesday morning at 7am in downtown Taipei and I will forever be grateful for that tribe of women who shaped me and called out the God-colors they could see in me.
I’ve tasted the power of sisterhood as I’ve met with the women in my lifegroup and I’ve seen the beauty of sisterhood as we’ve held space for women’s voices on SheLoves. That dream was birthed around Psalm 68:11 where God gives the word of power and throngs of women carry the good news.
Now it’s time to go deeper. This is an online community where we will grow deeper and stronger. This time the vision is around Psalm 1: 1-3. We long to be women who are planted by streams of Living Water. We want to flourish and yield fruit in season.
At our Rise Up, Sister event in February 2017, Sherry Naron, founder of Rescue Pink, shared some of her story. She did not think she was qualified to start a non-profit that served the women and girls in India. She’s an introvert and she struggled with seeing the power of her own life to make a difference. But the dream wouldn’t leave her alone and so she stepped out and did it. Now her organization is making a stunning difference!
What if you are a Sherry? What could a community of like-minded and like-hearted women do for you to call out the dreams and longings in your heart?
Perhaps you have eyes to see other Sherrys and encourage them on their journey?
How could YOU be part of imagining the Kingdom of God becoming established on earth as it is in heaven?
You don’t need to be a writer to belong here. You just need to be YOU.
So, right here, where you are, is our foyer. Membership to Dangerous Women Tribe will give you access to our whole house and YOU will help shape this family.
We love what Stanley Hauerwas says about communities of faith.
“Here we show the world a manner of life the world can never achieve through social coercion or governmental action. We serve the world by showing it something that it is not, namely, a place where God is forming a family out of strangers.”
